Adopt Lala

Mixed Breed · Male

Breed: mixed-breed male dog Age: born around 08/2021 I am also… I am the Lala… a young-adult mixed-breed male dog categorized as Maxi… with easy-to-groom fur in black and blond, my stylist has put a lot of effort into my face and given me a very handsome look. I am an active dog who loves to be on the move and enjoys water, and I understand my fellow animals perfectly, whether they are boys or girls… our caretakers believe that I am very trainable… I listen well and put a lot of effort into executing learned commands… of course, I also take every opportunity to get some cuddles because I am a very big cuddle cat… With all these great qualities, there is unfortunately also a catch, if I get bored, I can also climb over the fence and go on a walk… it would therefore be advantageous if you have a secure property or we simply do not get bored… I seem to be one of those unwanted dogs who were simply put outside, so I arrived at the animal shelter as a found dog, unfortunately nothing is known about my past… But because we dogs live in the present, that doesn't bother me much at all… Like all dogs, I wish with all my heart for my own family, with a cozy dog bed, which I would also be happy to share with an existing dog buddy… Fun and play is what every dog dreams of, with me, you won't have any boredom anymore… maybe you also have the desire to deepen my training in dog training classes… and when we need a break, we simply cuddle up on the sofa and dream of new adventures… If you now feel addressed, then contact my handlers, who will explain to you how I can quickly join you… Before I travel to my new home, I will still be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you want to adopt me, please contact my handlers.

About Lala

What life with Lala looks like

Lala is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. in Hamburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
