Lampros (Λάμπρος)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 3 years

A dynamic and very intelligent guy with melancholic eyes and a strong body, ready to conquer the world and your heart. Social, friendly and affectionate, he doesn't miss an opportunity for cuddles, even with people he doesn't know. Playful with other dogs but with a lot of energy due to his age that can scare some small or elderly ones. A very sweet life companion with a golden heart who unfortunately returned to our arms after a year in adoption (for reasons that do not concern the owner). The boy was born on May 1, 2024 and weighs about 30 kg. He is very good on his leash walk, although due to his strength, he may pull a little more from time to time out of enthusiasm. It is good to be adopted by a person in good physical condition since he loves long walks at a fast pace, games and gets up for hugs on his back legs. If you are interested in adoption, send an SMS to 6970195672, write "I'm interested in Lambros" and we will call you soon, or send us a message on our page (All the animals of the Stray Planet are given for adoption as the law dictates) An animal is not a toy. You must know that adopting an animal is a decision that changes your life. As an animal owner, you are legally obliged to ensure that all needs for its well-being are met. Otherwise, you commit an offense punishable by law.

About Lampros (Λάμπρος)

What life with Lampros (Λάμπρος) looks like

Lampros (Λάμπρος) is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Dogs Voice in Athens.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇷Adopting from Greece

Greek shelters often partner with Northern European rescue groups for placements. Animals are sterilized, vaccinated, and chipped before adoption. Fees vary widely depending on whether the shelter is municipal or NGO-run.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lampros (Λάμπρος), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lampros (Λάμπρος)?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Voice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lampros (Λάμπρος) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lampros (Λάμπρος) if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Voice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lampros (Λάμπρος) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lampros (Λάμπρος) isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Voice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lampros (Λάμπρος) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
