adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The pretty Lani came with her sisters Babsi and Yuna to us. The beautiful hundedames were found together with their mother abandoned and were taken in by Paul's Shelter. There they are relatively well off and can recover from the hardships of life on Romania's streets in the harsh winter. They get food, have a dry place to sleep, and are lovingly cared for, as far as the time of our heavily burdened staff allows. But of course, that is still not a happy dog life for them, because they need much more attention, love, and affection. Therefore, they should be rehomed as quickly as possible with responsible people who will care for them lovingly and show them how wonderful life as a family dog can be. Her initial shyness has improved over time. Now Lani can be touched and allows for closeness. Through lots of affection and mental stimulation with Lani, one can quickly gain her trust and make her a happy dog. Lani has soft, white fur and striking black, shiny eyes. She is now about 3 years old and has already spent more than half her life in the shelter. She is medium-sized, measuring around 50 cm and weighing 20 kg. But before deciding on Lani, one should look within and realize that raising a dog requires a lot of responsibility, time, and patience. But the effort will be returned with unconditional love by Lani. We wish Lani loving and active adopters who will give her enough time and space to settle into her new situation at her own pace. After the adjustment period, it is certainly worthwhile to take Lani to positive dog training classes, as shared training will strengthen Lanis self-confidence and the bond to her people. Lani travels neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, dewormed, and in possession of an EU pet passport. Many thanks, Kristin! You gave Lani her beautiful name! Date: 23.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Kristin! Du hast Lani ihren schönen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 23.03.2025 Weitere Informationen zum Thema Vorkontrolle und Schutzgebühr

About Lani

What life with Lani looks like

Lani is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
