adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Lasse can travel directly to his final home! His story: In the shelter in Baia Mare, a colorful litter of puppies is waiting to leave Romania and begin a new, better life. Eight beautiful siblings – Lasse, Aiden, Anrai, Bronco, Bear, Livia, Blondie, and Brownie – were rescued from poor husbandry and brought to the Public Shelter in Baia Mare by the Animal Police. Now they urgently need support as they start their new life, so they won't grow up in noise, filth, and behind bars. That's why we are determined not to rest until we know the puppies are in safety and have found a place with loving people who will care for and love them, showing them how wonderful life as a family dog can be. The cuddly Lasse is just like his siblings, a little fighter, otherwise he wouldn't have made it to such a unfriendly and unsuitable place as a lively, healthy puppy. He is friendly and open-minded and a typical playful, little male dog. He loves playing with his siblings. Lasse has soft, black fur with brown patches on his face and his clumsy paws. Out of black, shiny round eyes, he looks hopefully into his future. The little puppy is only about 2.5 months old and will likely develop into a beautiful, medium-sized dog. Surely, Lasse will quickly settle into his new home, although of course he has no experience with life as a house dog and knows little about house training and leash manners. But Lasse is an alert, little male dog who looks forward to the future with open and confident optimism. With lots of love, understanding, and positive reinforcement, he will learn the puppy 1×1 class quickly. After the adjustment period, the cute puppy will be happy to visit a positively working dog training class. In a few months, Lasse will then enter puberty, which may disrupt everything he has learned so far. But with a loving and consistent upbringing by his adopters, the little puppy will emerge from this phase as a well-mannered and confident young male dog, faithfully and reliably accompanying his family in all activities. We now wish for animal-friendly people who will lovingly and patiently take in Lasse, give him a family connection, a warm dog bed, wonderful walks, and – crucial for a puppy – enough contact with fellow animals. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the little puppy. Our thanks go to the namesake Shari, who gave the cute Lasse his name! Date: 26.06. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 26.06.2024

About Lasse

What life with Lasse looks like

Lasse is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lasse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lasse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lasse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lasse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lasse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lasse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lasse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
