Laza

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 11 years

Laza was abandoned as a kitten in front of our shelter in July 2015. From the very first day, he showed his wonderful personality. Laza is fully socialized, exceptionally affectionate and cooperative, and he enjoys being around people. His gentle nature and endlessly charming personality make him a true charmer. Laza is one of those cats who easily win over anyone who gives them attention and love. Negative for FIV and FeLV.

About Laza

What life with Laza looks like

Laza is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at Help Animals Belgrade (Shelter Jessica) in Serbia.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇷🇸Adopting from Serbia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Laza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Laza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals Belgrade (Shelter Jessica) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Laza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Laza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals Belgrade (Shelter Jessica) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Laza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Laza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals Belgrade (Shelter Jessica) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Laza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
