Adopt LeBron

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

EBRON was picked up near Aguilar de Campoó (Palencia) and taken to the dog pound in Burgos (the concessionaire of the province's animal pickup service) which does not have a contracted veterinary service provided by the Diputación. They kindly inform us and take charge of his custody: he had a strong head injury (later a second one was discovered) and everything seemed to indicate that it was inflicted by someone with the intention of killing him...???? LeBron had a bone deficiency, an infection in the same area, and there was concern about potential neurological or ocular damage, fortunately, which did not occur????. As of December 2021, LeBron is recovering wonderfully. It is true that due to the bone deficiency, he will have a "not-so-aesthetic" scar, but that is secondary obviously and what matters is that he is here with us with his whole life ahead of him since he is not even a year old????. LeBron has a wonderful personality, he is affectionate, sociable, active... he is also compatible with other dogs and children (cats without tested compatibility). LeBron is an incredible dog who deserves to be happy, not: the next one???¿Would you like to be the one to share a home, family, and adventures with him?¡Ask us about him!? Contact: 667849696 – 657961568 www.protectoradepalencia.org ????Album of photos of LeBron: Search Instagram: ¡Follow! If you cannot accommodate or adopt, help us spread the word, share, give a like… You never know which "share" will lead to finding their home.

About LeBron

What life with LeBron looks like

LeBron is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting LeBron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LeBron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LeBron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LeBron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LeBron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LeBron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina early rather than rehoming privately; they know LeBron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
