Leia sucht ihr Zuhause

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Leia, born circa 2024, settled as a stray with a kind lady and gave birth to her little Star Wars babies there. She was lovingly cared for until her kittens were big enough to be adopted together. Now the mini-Jedis are big enough and Leia thinks: the child-rearing is over! She wants to be a lady again and conquer a home. Leia is a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and enjoys petting. She is a gentle, affectionate cat who enjoys loving people. We wish Leia to have outdoor access and a home where there is already a social cat or a nice tomcat, that would be fine too. Leia is waiting for her own galaxy where she can finally play the leading role again.

DE·Show original

About Leia sucht ihr Zuhause

What life with Leia sucht ihr Zuhause looks like

Leia sucht ihr Zuhause is a very small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Drakenburg in Drakenburg.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leia sucht ihr Zuhause, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leia sucht ihr Zuhause?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Drakenburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leia sucht ihr Zuhause on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leia sucht ihr Zuhause if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Drakenburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Leia sucht ihr Zuhause already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leia sucht ihr Zuhause isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Drakenburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leia sucht ihr Zuhause and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
