Lemon

Female · Kitten · 2 months

This cute little ball of fluff is Lemon! Lemon is a playful and active kitten that can be found wrestling with her mice, chasing her string toy or running through and hiding in her crinkle tunnel. She has lots of excess energy and needs her new family to spend lots of time keeping her entertained. Lemon would thrive in a home with any age child who will spend lots of time playing with her and giving her the love she deserves. She is an affectionate girl who will either snuggle up on a warm lap or beside her favourite people so she can have lots of fuss and chin rubs. Lemon is a bold girl and should be fine to settle into a quiet corner of the home with all her resources close by and plenty of cosy hiding spots. As we have said before, Lemon is an active girl and once settled into her new home will need outside access. About Lemon

What life with Lemon looks like

Lemon is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lemon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lemon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lemon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lemon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lemon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lemon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lemon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
