Lencse

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Lencse was transferred from the Szerepi municipal pound to the Noé Animal Shelter foundation. A heartworm test was conducted upon arrival and it was positive. Thanks to the treatments, the control examinations are now negative. We can say that Lencse is cured! Lencse was born around 2019, a small female dog who was quite shy at first, but quickly became affectionate. She is currently living in a temporary family with many dogs and children. She enjoys participating in family activities and seems to be happy according to the pictures in the gallery. For people who like water sports, Lencse can be a perfect companion. Our goal is to find a permanent home for her where she can be a full-fledged family member. We hope that her angel comes, the one who waited for her, who will give her everything she may not have received so far: a home worthy of a dog, a secure and loving family. We do not give her for garden keeping only. Lencse is available for adoption, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

About Lencse

What life with Lencse looks like

Lencse is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Previously treated for heartworm, now recovered

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lencse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lencse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lencse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lencse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lencse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lencse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lencse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
