Lenge

European Shorthair · Male · Senior · 14 years

Age: born on 04/17/2012 Identification: 250 269 606 283 742 Physical characteristics: a very beautiful tabby and white cat. Tested negative for FIV/Felv, vaccinated, spayed, and identified with an electronic chip. Lenge has digestive sensitivities and several enemas in his history, so he has a special diet and dietary supplements to prevent these episodes as much as possible. Personality: My name is Lenge and I am a purring old cat. At almost 14 years old, I dictate the way things should be done because I have my habits: no, I don't stay on your laps, but if you like headbutts, licks, and purrs, once we get along, you'll get your share. I like to share my white fur, which is fluffy, beautiful, and so soft. In my foster family, I was cautious for a day, but I saw the openness when she lay down for a nap: I went and pressed against her shoulder and turned on my motor. Since then, she knows how to make me swallow my pill or give me a microlax now and then, and I remind her that I exist by coming to her desk whenever she has a video call. Still, I am the center of the world for the few moments I'm not sleeping, right? I am sensitive stomach with a tendency to constipation (I am a senior after all), so you need to accompany me a bit when it comes to choosing food and dietary supplements. I have a nice voice that serves me if things aren't going well, but I am more of a calm one who likes to take a little tour of observation on the balcony now and then. I can be overwhelmed by my emotions: The key is to let me live by your side so that I give you the best RRRRRRRR RON. Background: his family had to separate from him with great regrets due to a severe allergy in the youngest child. Ideal placement: in a loving, quiet, patient home, familiar with cats, without young children, preferably with space (minimum 45/50 m2), and a secure outside area. Contact: Lenge is available in foster care in Paris 11th. Contact Karine by SMS (preferably in the evening after 8 pm & weekends), by email or via the web form.

About Lenge

What life with Lenge looks like

Lenge is a small senior european shorthair cat waiting at Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 in Paris.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lenge, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lenge?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lenge on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lenge if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lenge already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lenge isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lenge and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
