Lennox 2208389 Born approximately March 2020 Height at the shoulder approximately 50 cm male neutered, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed At the animal shelter since August 2021 Location: Animal Shelter Prijatelji/Croatia We will organize the dog's transport Lennox: loyal companion seeks family Lennox came to the animal shelter in an unusual way: We could only catch him with a live trap, where he was cuddling with a hedgehog. The poor fellow had been untouchable and full of fear for years, so he constantly barked at the fence. But with a lot of patience and love, Lennox has developed incredibly! At the beginning, the walks were a challenge, but now Lennox looks forward to every outing. He goes on his own to approach people and enjoys being in motion. Even cutting his fur finally allowed! Today he lives well in the animal shelter and has become a much happier dog who only rarely barks. He now enjoys being stroked: You can tell that he finally enjoys cuddling. Lennox was never aggressive; he just wanted to avoid everything that made him afraid. Now he is ready to let new people into his heart and even foreign helpers already accompany him on walks (see the video!). Lennox would be a wonderful companion and has so much deserved to finally find a family. He also gets along well with female dogs and would surely enjoy a female dog friend! If you want to get to know Lennox and give him a loving home, please contact us. Lennox is waiting for you! When this dog arrives at your home, please give him time to settle in quietly. Much will still be new to him. That's why he wants to learn the dog's multiplication table together with your help and patience, such as climbing stairs, doing his business outside or walking on a leash. A good dog school (where animal shelter dogs are also welcome) can help you with this. Joint training also strengthens your bond and trust with each other. We only know the dogs from the animal shelter and usually don't know if they are compatible with cats or other animals. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that. A reunion therefore takes place very carefully. We will be happy to support you from the beginning. About Lennox

What life with Lennox looks like

Lennox is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lennox, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lennox?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lennox on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lennox if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lennox already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lennox isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lennox and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
