Leosia

Mixed Breed · Female

Bure fur doesn't usually attract too many admirers. But we know that buras are beautiful, both in appearance and character. That's also the case with Leosi, whom we're introducing to you! Our beautiful, five-year-old bura is also a foster cat after an accident. Leosia has been through a lot, but despite her difficult past, surgeries, and time in a cage, she hasn't lost her joy for life and her connection with humans. Her initial shyness fades quickly, and after a few days, the kitten happily claims a spot on the caregiver's lap. Her favorite daytime activity? Of course, sticking her head out for petting. Petting is something Leosi finds hard to pass up. Soon, the kitten's purring reaches full volume, and she contentedly begs for more. However, nothing lasts forever - the kitten can also set boundaries and gently hiss "that's enough" with a delicate purr. Leosia isn't dependent on the caregiver; she can take care of herself, but she also doesn't disdain a spot next to a human in bed, companionship in daily activities, or a pleasant exchange of words throughout the day. She's happy to meow when the caregiver returns from work and tells her about an exhausting day full of sleep on the couch. Like any cat, Leosi sometimes is lazy but often gets into play. Mice, balls, fishing rod - the kitten doesn't tire of any of them and eagerly plays with each. Our bura doesn't complain about a lack of appetite and happily eats her food without fuss. She has no problem using a litter box. The human-loving Leosia is a great material for a single cat - she finds her place well with the caregiver and other cats are not necessary for her happiness. She can get along with a non-imposing dog. The kitten has been neutered and spayed. FIV and FeLV tests are negative. We encourage you to contact us via SMS - we'll send more photos and videos. The kitten is in Lublin, but distance is not a problem. We'll organize cost-free transportation to a new home anywhere in Poland. Our kittens travel hundreds of kilometers each week to their dream homes. Adoption only to a non-boarding home.

Oczywiście wystawianie główki do głasków. Pieszczoty to coś, obok czego Leosi ciężko przejść obojętnie. Kotka została odrobaczona I wykastrowana. Testy FIV FeLV ujemne. Zachęcamy do kontaktu SMS -wyślemy więcej zdjęć, filmików. Kotka przebywa w Lublinie, jednak odległość to nie problem. Zorganizujemy po kosztach transport do nowego domu w całej Polsce. Nasze kociaki każdego tygodnia pokonują setki kilometrów do wymarzonych domów. Adopcja tylko do domu niewychodzącego. Kontakt: 881 x423 x896 (proszę o sms) Jeżeli chcą Państwo adoptować kota, prosimy o wypełnienie ankiety przedadopcyjnej. Jeśli ankieta zostanie rozpatrzona pozytywnie, skontaktujemy się w ciągu 2-3 dni. About Leosia

What life with Leosia looks like

Leosia is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leosia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leosia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leosia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leosia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Leosia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leosia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leosia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
