Leti (Leticia)

Female · Young · 2 years

Leti is a 2.5-year-old mixed breed girl who came to us from another shelter. She was born in the shelter and, sadly, has never experienced life in a home. Despite this, Leti is a lovely, gentle dog who walks well on the lead and is a firm favourite with our volunteers on dog walking days. She can be a little shy and timid at first, as you might expect given her background. Because of this, Leti would really benefit from a home with another confident dog to help guide her and show her the way. With time, patience, and love, Leti has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. She just needs someone willing to give her that chance and help her discover the world at her own pace. If you have a kind heart and a calm home, Leti could be the perfect addition to your family.

About Leti (Leticia)

What life with Leti (Leticia) looks like

Leti (Leticia) is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Live PAWS Tenerife in Spain.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leti (Leticia), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leti (Leticia)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Live PAWS Tenerife handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leti (Leticia) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leti (Leticia) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Live PAWS Tenerife will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Leti (Leticia) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leti (Leticia) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Live PAWS Tenerife early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leti (Leticia) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
