adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Liah has found her home! Her story: Liah is so delicate and enchanting – and she conquers hearts in a storm! She brings everything you could wish for: curiosity, joy, and a huge portion of cuteness. Despite her not-so-easy start in life, Liah is cheerful, open, and ready to explore the world step by step. Together with her mom Paola and her siblings Ho’olana, Berry, Annabellie, Cupcake, Truffle, and Neele, Liah was found in an abandoned house. The conditions were extremely challenging for such small puppies, and unfortunately, one of the puppies did not make it. How wonderful it is to see how carefree, playful, and people-oriented Liah is today. Liah actually really likes people. She comes up to you willingly, enjoys cuddles, and loves being right in the middle of the action. She shows herself to be well-tempered with other dogs; cats have not yet been tested. Typical puppy, she is playful, lively, and always ready for mischief and new adventures. Currently, Liah is about 10 weeks old and weighs around 4 kg. When she grows up, she is expected to reach a larger medium size like her mom and be a great companion for active and relaxed days. Visually, Liah is a real eye-catcher with her elegant, deep-black shiny fur, sweet floppy ears, little white whiskers, and a white badge on her chest. Now, Liah wants to learn the dog ABC, build trust, and explore the world together with her people. For that, she is looking for a home that meets her with patience, loving consistency, and joy in learning. Like with all young dogs, puberty will also knock on Liah's door eventually – a phase where boundaries are often tested. With calmness, clarity, and humor, she will master this time well. A visit to dog training classes, many positive experiences, and sufficient quiet phases will help her develop into a balanced and confident female dog. Starting from early February, Liah – after a positive evaluation – will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and will of course bring her EU pet passport. Who would like to give this little heart-warming puppy a loving home and accompany her on her life journey? Liah would also be very happy to have a foster home as a stepping stone to a new life. Many thanks to Fam. Friedl! You gave Liah her name! Date: 09.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Fam. Friedl! Ihr habt Liah ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 09.01.2026

About Liah

What life with Liah looks like

Liah is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
