Liah was rescued from the public shelter in Zalau—and unfortunately, that’s the right term in this case. Because even today, animals are still being euthanized there, and we couldn’t allow Liah’s life to simply come to an end. Liah is already around 11 years old, making her one of our senior residents at the shelter. At approximately 44 cm tall and weighing 9 kg, she has the perfect size for relaxed cuddle sessions and leisurely walks. With her gray face and brown markings on her back, she’s absolutely adorable, and her lovely pricked ears complete the picture. When she first arrived at the shelter, Liah was reserved and tended to hide herself away—but now she’s settled in nicely and loves petting sessions and short walks. You can really tell how much she enjoys the attention, yet the shelter is simply no place for a little senior lady like Liah. That’s why we’re looking for people who’d love to share Liah’s retirement life with her. It’ll probably be the very first time in her life that Liah gets to experience love, security, and a warm spot on the sofa. As a result, some things may still feel unfamiliar to her—even though she already walks well on a leash. New situations make her feel insecure and overwhelmed. That’s why it’s so important for you, as her human companion, to remain calm and steady by her side, giving her the reassurance she needs. Liah gets along well with other dogs, so having a social and confident first dog would be a wonderful guide for this little lady—but it’s not a must. A loving foster home would also be a real stroke of luck for her, allowing her to escape the stressful and noisy daily routine of the shelter. Liah travels spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. She will be placed after a positive pre-screening, against a reduced adoption fee and with a valid EU pet passport. Liah wurde aus dem öffentlichen Shelter in Zalau gerettet. Und das ist in diesem Fall leider die richtige Bezeichnung. Denn dort wird auch heute noch getötet und wir konnten nicht zulassen, dass Liahs Leben einfach beendet wird. Liah ist bereits um die 11 Jahre alt und gehört damit zu unseren Omis im Shelter. Mit einer Größe von ca. 44 cm und 9 kg hat sie die perfekte Größe für entspannte Kuschelabende und entspannte Spaziergänge. Mit ihrem grauen Gesichtchen und den braunen Flecken auf dem Rücken ist sie zuckersüß und die hübschen Stehohren machen das Bild komplett. Neu im Shelter war Liah zurückhaltend und hat sich verkrochen, doch mittlerweile konnte sie sich gut einleben und liebt Streicheleinheiten und kleine Spaziergänge. Man merkt, wie sie die Zuwendung genießt und dennoch ist der Shelter kein Ort für eine kleine ältere Dame wie Liah. Daher wünschen wir uns Menschen, die Lust haben Liahs Rentnerinnen Dasein gemeinsam mit ihr zu genießen. Vermutlich wird es für Liah das erst Mal in ihrem Leben sein, wo sie Liebe, Geborgenheit und ein warmes Plätzchen auf dem Sofa erleben darf. Weshalb auch so manche Dinge noch fremd für sie erscheinen werden, auch wenn sie bereits gut an der Leine läuft. Neue Situationen verunsichern und überwältigen sie. Daher ist es wichtig als Mensch sicher und ruhig an ihrer Seite zu sein und ihr damit die Sicherheit zu schenken, die sie braucht. Mit anderen Hunden ist Liah verträglich und so wäre ein sozialer und souveräner Ersthund für die kleine Dame eine wunderbare Orientierung, aber kein Muss. Auch eine liebevolle Pflegestelle wäre für Sie ein Sechser im Lotto, um den stressigen und lauten Shelter Alltag entfliehen zu dürfen. Liah reist kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht.
