Licka

Belgian Malinois · Female · Puppy

Licka - Malinois-Mix puppy seeks her people for life Licka currently lives in a Spanish animal shelter, is a young Malinois-Mix female, and is in the exciting puppy stage. The little mouse is very playful, curious, and social. She wants to discover the world, learn new things, and of course, do it all in a real home. As a Malinois-Mix, Licka probably brings a lot of intelligence, eagerness to learn, and energy. Malinois and their mixes are generally not dogs for the side and also not for beginners. They want to be busy, work with their humans, and be both physically and mentally fulfilled. Licka will therefore need people who enjoy making her a great companion together. Of course, the sweetness still needs to learn the entire dog ABC. Housebreaking, leash training, recall, staying alone, and the many small rules of family life do not come by themselves. There will certainly be the typical puppy fancies and not every day will run completely smoothly. Because as cute as Licka is at the moment: a puppy only stays a puppy for a short time. She will become an adult female with her own needs and probably a lot of energy in her luggage. Her adoption therefore means responsibility for many years and should be well thought out. For Licka, we are looking for active, dog-experienced people who are eager to learn together, train, and adventure, and at the same time can give her the necessary rest and orientation. Who consciously takes on this task, gets with Licka the chance to accompany a clever, sporty, and lively dog from the start on her way.

About Licka

What life with Licka looks like

Licka is a puppy/kitten belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Licka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Licka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Licka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Licka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Licka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Licka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Licka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
