LILA

Female · Puppy · 3 months

Lila is a very gentle, sometimes a bit fearful but extremely affectionate dog. She is currently in foster care and is not visible on site. At her age, she gets along well with her own kind as well as our feline friends. Please note, NO RESERVATIONS BY MESSAGE. If you are interested in adopting her, please complete the following questionnaire: questionnaire is to be returned or dropped off in person at the shelter. Additionally, she will be placed in a family that already has a/an (s) companion(s) and/or in a family that has time to welcome, pamper and educate this bundle of love. A deposit will be required from her future family; deposit committing to have her spayed/neutered. REMINDER: this beautiful ball of fur is not a stuffed animal that can be returned to the store. As adorable as she is, she will probably make some mistakes. Adopting her means investing in her for the next 10 or even 15 years and more, for the lucky ones!

About LILA

What life with LILA looks like

LILA is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at SPA 65 Tarbes in Tarbes.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting LILA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LILA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA 65 Tarbes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LILA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LILA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA 65 Tarbes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LILA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LILA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA 65 Tarbes early rather than rehoming privately; they know LILA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
