LILI

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 2 months

Lili - 3 months old, Lili was found in the town of Vars with her brother Malo and sister Isys. Taken care of by the shelter, they are now growing up in a foster family where they are slowly discovering that humans can be synonymous with gentleness and security. Still timid, Lili will need a calm, patient and caring family to continue socializing. She already lets herself be handled, but it will take time for her to fully trust and reveal her personality. The presence of a well-adjusted cat would be a real asset to help her thrive and gain confidence. Lili must remain indoors until she is spayed. This is mandatory at the age of 6 months for any kitten adopted from the shelter and remains the responsibility of the adopter. With patience, gentleness and lots of love, Lili will become a wonderful companion. All she needs now is a family willing to give her time to grow in confidence.

About LILI

What life with LILI looks like

LILI is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Refuge Angoumois in Angoulême.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting LILI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LILI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Angoumois handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LILI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LILI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Angoumois will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LILI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LILI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Angoumois early rather than rehoming privately; they know LILI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
