Adopt Lilka

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 20 years

Little Lilka is looking for a home. Koteczka is about 12 weeks old, healthy, FIV/FELV tests are negative, spayed, vaccinated, has a health book. She came to us with her litter when she was about 4 weeks old, after their mother was found poisoned. She is currently in DT near Rybnik, where she lives with a small dog, cats, canaries and a rabbit. She is also used to children of several years old. Lila is a very active and energetic kitten. She doesn't like being held, sometimes she will show what she doesn't like with her teeth and claws. She likes playing with her siblings, mice, and everything that moves. We are looking for a home that does not have access to the outside! It would be best if Lila had company, but it is not a requirement. The home must be responsible and aware that the kitten has teeth and claws and will get into everything, especially the little ones. If someone opens their heart and finds a place for Lila, please fill out the non-binding questionnaire: After completing the questionnaire, please wait for contact from the caregiver from the foundation. The adoption procedure applies: - filling out the questionnaire - interview with the caregiver - pre-adoption visit - signing the adoption agreement Remember, house cats can live up to 20 years, so it's worth carefully considering adopting a new family member. If you want to adopt an animal because the children want it, don't fill out the questionnaire and don't call. The animal is a living being, and we take full responsibility for its life and health.

Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: Karolina 696437002. Najlepiej napisać sms.

About Lilka

What life with Lilka looks like

Lilka is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
