Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! Lilli was able to travel to her foster home at the beginning of May and shows every day what a great and uncomplicated female dog she is. This approximately 2-year-old female dog is incredibly friendly, people-oriented and enjoys the company of her humans very much. She actively seeks contact and has quickly integrated into the daily life of her foster family. Lilli is absolutely uncomplicated with other dogs - regardless of whether male or female. Even if other dogs sometimes react unkindly to her or show their teeth, Lilli tends to avoid conflicts and withdraws instead of confronting them. She also meets cats surprisingly calmly. With a shoulder height of about 60 cm, Lilli belongs to the medium-sized to larger female dogs. She is rather stocky built, but still active and enjoys being in motion. Her short, black-brown marked coat, the funny floppy ears and her warm, light brown eyes give her a very special charm. Lilli's coat pattern and athletic body structure suggest that she may have Shepherd genes. Accordingly, we are looking for people who enjoy working with an active and intelligent female dog and who can challenge her both physically and mentally. What Lilli experienced in her previous life we do not know exactly. Probably she never had a real home and was eventually picked up alone on the street and brought to the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. It is all the more beautiful to see how open and friendly she still is towards people. Lilli can be visited and met at any time in her foster home. After a positive preliminary check, Lilli can be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and provided with an EU pet passport for a fee to move into her new home. Who wants to finally give this uncomplicated and loving female dog her own home? Our thanks go to Geli and Cosi, who as godmothers gave Lilli her beautiful name and thus a unique, unmistakable identity. Status: 17.05.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 17.05.2026

About Lilli

What life with Lilli looks like

Lilli is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
