We are currently under treatment. Please do not apply. (July 31, 2026) Little Lilly came into our care together with Bud Spencer, as their previous home no longer had suitable housing conditions for both of them. We are now looking for a species-appropriate home for these two little bunnies—a home with ample space and daily access to outdoor runs. You can find the minimum requirements for enclosure dimensions here. At present, the two enjoy being kept exclusively indoors, but they can also be gradually accustomed to being kept entirely outdoors during the warmer months. When keeping them outdoors, it’s important to ensure that Lilly and Bud Spencer cannot dig their way out and that they are protected from predators. Adequate shade areas must also be provided. Various retreat options, such as sleeping caves, as well as structural elements for entertainment, should not be missing. Since rabbits are not cuddly pets but rather animals that enjoy observing their surroundings, they prefer spending time with their own kind rather than with humans. Since Lilly previously had dental problems, she should be examined by a veterinarian once a month. Bud Spencer is currently slightly overweight, but he is actively working on losing weight. Therefore, for now, both of them would appreciate support in the form of sponsorships until they can move together into their new home.

(31.07.2026) Bud Spencer kam mit einer Freundin in unsere Obhut, nachdem es in ihrem vorherigen Zuhause keine Haltungsmöglichkeiten für die beiden gab. Seine Freundin ist leider verstorben - nun suchen wir für Bud Spencer ein artgemäßes Zuhause mit Kaninchengesellschaft, einer großen Unterbringung und täglichem Freilauf. Die Mindestanforderungen bezüglich der Maße der Unterbringungen finden Sie hier. Momentan genießt Bud Spencer die reine Innenhaltung, kann aber während der wärmeren Monate auch an die reine Außenhaltung gewöhnt werden. Bei der Außenhaltung ist zu beachten, dass Bud Spencer nicht durch ausbuddeln entweichen können und Schutz vor Fressfeinden gewährleistet ist. Auch auf Schattenplätze muss geachtet werden. Verschiedene Rückzugsmöglichkeiten wie Schlafhöhlen sowie Strukturelemente zur Unterhaltung dürfen nicht fehlen. Da es sich bei Kaninchen nicht um Kuschel-, sondern Beobachtungstiere handelt, verbringen sie lieber Zeit mit ihren Artgenossen als mit uns Menschen. Bud Spencer leidet an schlimmen Ohrenproblemen, die wir aktuell noch behandeln. Daher freut er sich vorerst über Unterstützung in Form einer Patenschaft.
