adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Lilly has found her home! Her story: Our golden treasure Lilly is one of the friendliest female dogs we know! She always greets everyone with a loving look and an expectant wag of her tail. She never gives up hope that someday she too might escape the monotonous life of the kennel. For over 2.5 years, she has been confined here unjustly! She has seen many kennel companions travel, but she was always left behind. She gets very bored here and is becoming increasingly sad. The mouse with the special ringlet stands out through her always curious, open nature. The sensitive female dog behaves very lovingly and submissively towards people. It's almost as if she derives no greater pleasure than the company and care of her heart's people. Perhaps she had a family before, at least she behaves that way. On the leash, she runs like a pro and will do anything for treats. She has been compatible with all the dogs in the shelter so far, and one can only speak highly of this gentle soul. She has shared a kennel with several dogs during her time in the shelter. Generally, Lilly is more of a quiet and balanced companion. A perfect companion for chilling, snuggling, and beautiful outings. She measures approximately 60-62 cm, weighs 39 kg, and is about 6.5 years old. She was rescued by our local animal protectors along with her two small puppies from a village, as the people there wanted nothing good for them. Cheeky, one of her boys, is also still waiting desperately for his heart's people. It is likely that the special female dog is a typical mix, combining herding, hunting, and guard dog genes. If Lilly finally has the chance to travel, she should attend an appropriate training class after a proper adjustment period. This strengthens the bond and Lilly gets another chance to learn a lot in her life. Of course, only with positive reinforcement! After a positive evaluation, she is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and in possession of an EU pet passport. A heartfelt thank you to Sentia K. for giving the sweet mouse her perfect name. Many thanks to Susanne R.! You are supporting Lilly with a monthly sponsorship! As of: 31.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Susanne R.! Du unterstützt Lilly mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! About Lilly

What life with Lilly looks like

Lilly is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
