Adopt Lilly

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Lilly is looking for a home... one that's forever. She is only about a year old, and already knows what pain and the fight for life are. Lilly came to us after an accident. She had a broken femur. For such a young and delicate kitten, this was a huge tragedy – but she bravely went through surgery, then a long recovery, and recently also had a procedure to remove a nail. Now everything is fine. Her leg works, and Lilly can finally run, play, and enjoy life, as any young kitten should. And even though she has been through so much, she is gentle, trusting, and affectionate. She seeks human closeness, loves being petted and cuddled, and would most happily climb onto your lap and stay there forever. She purrs before you even touch her fur. She won't turn away or hide in a corner. On the contrary – Lilly is waiting. And she's missing someone very much. She gets along well with other kittens, is gentle and sociable. Watching her, it's hard to believe that not long ago she was suffering so much. There is something special about her – a quiet gratitude that cannot be described in words. She is vaccinated, dewormed, and only spaying remains. She uses the litter box without any problems. We are looking for a loving, responsible home where someone will see not just a beautiful kitten, but also a soul that has gone through hardship and pain – and yet still has so much love to give. If you can help her – give her a home, share, tell someone about her – please do so. Because Lilly has waited long enough. And we believe that somewhere out there is someone who needs her!

Jeśli możesz jej pomóc – dać dom, udostępnić, opowiedzieć o niej komuś – prosimy, zrób to. Bo Lilly już wystarczająco długo czeka. A my wierzymy, że gdzieś tam jest ktoś, kto właśnie jej potrzebuje! About Lilly

What life with Lilly looks like

Lilly is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
