Limbo

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 9 months

Limbo arrived at our partner shelter in June 2026. He had been wandering the streets for weeks before ending up on a company property, where he was initially deterred by the large dogs already present. Undeterred, he began to observe the property from the street, alerting anyone he deemed to be breaking the rules with friendly barks. This was just the kind of order he was used to, he thought.😉 At the shelter, Limbo is a very affectionate and people-oriented dog. The approximately nine-month-old is a joyful and full of life. He needs to let off steam with a game of zoomies from time to time. At the same time, Limbo is intelligent and shows his caregivers his friendly side. As of September 2026, Limbo is about 30-35 cm tall. We suspect he is a Mini-Collie and expect him to grow to a medium size. Since we do not know his parents, we cannot say this with certainty. Limbo is not only very handsome, he brings other qualities: he is submissive and enjoys the company of his caregivers. He wants to be everywhere and experience everything. Unfortunately, his options at the shelter are limited. We are looking for active people who enjoy showing a young dog the world and going through life with him. Fun walks, shared activities, and small tasks for his clever mind should be part of his daily routine, as well as plenty of rest and time to settle in. With Limbo, things can get lively - after all, there is a lot of energy in this little guy.

About Limbo

What life with Limbo looks like

Limbo is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Paradies für Tiere e.V. in Reutlingen.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Limbo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Limbo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Paradies für Tiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Limbo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Limbo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Paradies für Tiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Limbo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Limbo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Paradies für Tiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Limbo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
