Lina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mixed-breed Lina is looking for her forever home. Again, puppies have found their way to our Bulgarian shelter. One of them is Lina, who was taken in with her four siblings. Now she hopes to embark on her journey to a loving forever home or foster placement in August. Lina is a rather quiet and gentle little dog. She is friendly and approachable towards people but needs some time to gain trust and adjust to new situations. If you give her this time, she will show herself as a loving and affectionate companion. Lina is also social and compatible with other dogs. Like every puppy, Lina is still at the beginning of her life and must first learn the ABCs of being a dog. Housebreaking, staying alone or driving are new territory for her. That's why we wish for people who will give her patience, understanding and loving consistency to take time in her own pace to arrive and discover the world. Lina wants to grow step by step with her humans, build trust and experience how beautiful a home can be. She is looking for people who will nurture her, give her security and are aware that a puppy needs time and patience. In return, she gives her humans unconditional love and many shared moments of happiness. Who would like to give little Lina the chance at a happy life and show her that she has finally arrived? Adopting an animal from a shelter always means taking on special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to adjust to their new lives. If you are seriously interested in adopting Lina, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster placement.

About Lina

What life with Lina looks like

Lina is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
