Adopt Lindie (vermittelt)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Name Lindie Born ca. 2016/2017 Gender female dog Breed mixed breed Size small Foster home Lindie, our little schnapps turtle 😉, has conquered the hearts of the foster parents in the storm and is now officially allowed to stay. We hope that the "Piesel-attacks" will improve and that everyone can have a beautiful and relaxed time together. The age given here often refers to estimated values, as we do not always know the exact age. Other information, such as size, is subjective. The little female dog probably once had a home…now she has landed in a large Romanian animal shelter. At the moment, she still lives in the Vethouse, but if it becomes very full, she will have to move into one of the outdoor kennels. What that means for such a little mouse, humans can unfortunately only imagine… That's why we would like to get her out of there quickly. The local animal protectors write to her: LINDIE… was just dropped off in the shelter and doesn't understand the world anymore. She is approximately 7-8 years old and shows herself to be very friendly, almost helpless: She would like to stay on someone's arm. With other dogs, she is very nice. She already knows how to wear a harness and walk on a leash. We are looking for people who are willing to take on the adventure of an international dog and give him a second chance at a responsible home. If you are interested in this great dog, please fill out the Referral Form or call us at the phone number provided. Here are a few pictures. For enlargement, please click on an image. About Lindie (vermittelt)

What life with Lindie (vermittelt) looks like

Lindie (vermittelt) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. in Zornheim.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lindie (vermittelt), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lindie (vermittelt)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lindie (vermittelt) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lindie (vermittelt) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lindie (vermittelt) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lindie (vermittelt) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lindie (vermittelt) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
