adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Linneo has found a home! His story: Bistrita, Romania. Linneo, our little sunbeam, is on the lookout for his ticket to happiness! Like many puppies on the streets of Romania, our Linneo was also left on his own early on. Found on the street without a mother or siblings, he was brought to the shelter where he is safe but the conditions are far from ideal. It is loud, dirty, and cold. For this reason, we are urgently seeking a loving home for our bright little boy. He is currently around 7 months old and will likely remain small as he grows. With his brown fur and cute, floppy ear, he is unmistakable and melts all hearts. With Linneo, you get a fantastic companion for all adventures. He loves to play with his puppy friends, be petted by humans, or simply snuggle. Linneo is open-minded, curious, and likes to explore his surroundings. He always greets people and children with friendliness and shows his best side. Linneo would be delighted to discover the world with people who show him how wonderful life can be. However, his new family should also be aware that Linneo has not yet experienced life in a loving family. He still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of him. Here, he needs people who can approach with love and patience, possibly even attend some positive dog training classes with him, and forgive him one or two mishaps. A dog training class can also be a great support at the beginning to strengthen the bond between dog and human. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to him. During puberty, he will surely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things he has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Linneo will definitely be a great lifelong companion. We would also be very happy about a foster home for the little one. Many thanks to Julia! You gave Linneo his name. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank an Julia! Du hast Linneo seinen Namen geschenkt.

About Linneo

What life with Linneo looks like

Linneo is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linneo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linneo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linneo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linneo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linneo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linneo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linneo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
