Linus

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 10 years

Linus is partially blind in his left eye, likely caused by a past injury or ulcer that did not heal well. He also has a more recent scratch on the outer layer of the same eye, contributing to the visible scarring. While it may need removal in the future, it doesn’t seem to bother him or stop him from discovering hidden nooks of the flat and jumping up kitchen counters! The kneecap in his back leg still pops out occasionally. While this can cause him some pain, it can be managed with medication, which he takes like a champ. There may be a surgical option down the line, but it is not currently considered a necessity. This condition means he needs to be an indoor-only cat, which works out perfectly since he seems to thoroughly love being indoors. While he has not yet been tested around other cats or children, his naturally calm and easygoing temperament suggests he would likely adapt well to them. He is a truly fabulous guy and deserves the best home and the best owner, so please get in touch if you want Linus to be your new feline BFF! Linus’ Details What is the colour of this cat? About Linus

What life with Linus looks like

Linus is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Feline Friends London in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Feline Friends London handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Feline Friends London will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Feline Friends London early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
