LIPTON

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Lipton, a mixed breed dog, was brought to our shelter due to his owner's serious illness, which made it impossible for them to continue caring for him. This sudden change in his life was very difficult for Lipton. He had to leave his beloved home and go to a shelter, even though he had done nothing wrong. Now he needs someone to help him start a new chapter and show him that losing his home doesn't mean losing the chance to live a happy life. Lipton is a curious and outgoing dog. He enjoys exploring new places, meeting new people, and of course, other dogs. He gets along with his canine friends, although sometimes his curiosity makes him too pushy. This is not out of malice, he just wants to check everything out and learn about it. He handles walks very well. He likes to sniff, observe his surroundings, and discover new places. He is a dog who will surely appreciate the opportunity to spend time, go for walks, and explore the world with his human. Lipton can live in a home with older children. In the case of younger children, we don't have enough information to say how he will react to them or if he has had contact with them at home before, so we are looking for a family with older children.

PL·Show original

Lubi węszyć, obserwować otoczenie i odkrywać nowe miejsca.

About LIPTON

What life with LIPTON looks like

LIPTON is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Świdnica in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting LIPTON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LIPTON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Świdnica handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LIPTON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LIPTON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Świdnica will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LIPTON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LIPTON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Świdnica early rather than rehoming privately; they know LIPTON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
