Adopt Lisa S

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

Profile: Born in February 2022, Gender: female, neutered: yes, Character: friendly, Size: approx. 43 cm, In shelter since: July 2022, Siblings: Jule & Nigel (Janny & Tilda – already rehomed) Hello there, you people out there, I would like to ask you for a moment of your attention and not immediately click away. I know I am just another one of the many black dogs trying to catch a small moment of your attention. But I am desperate and I cannot find a solution to my misery. My name is Lisa, and I came here to the shelter with my siblings as a small, wobbly puppy. At first, we thought it was great here, as we always had something to eat and could play without danger lurking in every corner. But now, a while has passed, and we are now adults. No one wanted me when I asked for a home with my big, round eyes. I was just what one could wish for in a puppy… small, loving, cuddly, and playful. Yet, no one found me, despite my friendly and loving nature, and my readiness to spend time with people and enjoy their attention. Cuddles make me happy, and I am always ready for a joyful game. I have so much to give and long for a close bond with my people. With a loving home and understanding hands by my side, I can fully express my friendly nature. If you are ready to give me the time and attention I need, I promise to win your heart in the storm. Let's begin a memorable journey together and give each other joy and love. If my big dream could come true, I would be forever grateful to you! If you are interested in Lisa, please fill out our interest form (), or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Lisa is ready to travel and can go with the next transport to Germany. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. The sponsorship of Lisa has been taken over by Hannah S., and thus ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

About Lisa S

What life with Lisa S looks like

Lisa S is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lisa S, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lisa S?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lisa S on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lisa S if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lisa S already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lisa S isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lisa S and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
