Lisbeth

Female · Young · 3 years

Hello, I am the awesome Lisbeth. I was found all alone and brought to the animal shelter. Probably I was just abandoned, but I love people and all I want is to be cuddled. But at the animal shelter, they first checked me over and cuddled me. Since it seems no one is missing me, I am finally looking for a home. I am totally playful and love to snuggle with people. I also think other kittens are great, with them you can have so much fun playing, so it would be great if I could move in with another kitten or join an existing second kitten. Kids would be no problem in my new home, I just need a place to retreat to if it gets too much. After my spaying, I would like to be an outdoor cat so I can explore the outdoors. So, if my interest has been piqued, please contact my foster parents at this breed shelter. Best placed with a resident cat (second-cat home).

Eure Lisbeth

About Lisbeth

What life with Lisbeth looks like

Lisbeth is a young adult cat waiting at Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. in Remagen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lisbeth, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lisbeth?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lisbeth on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lisbeth if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lisbeth already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lisbeth isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim u. Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e.V. / Tierheim Remagen. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lisbeth and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
