Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Dog Now! Liv currently lives in Bistrita, Romania, where she’s waiting for people who would like to give her a loving home. The little female dog is about 3 months old and has her whole life ahead of her. Together with her sister Bolly, she’s one of the very young furry noses who are now looking for a chance at a happy future. When fully grown, Liv will probably be medium-sized, possibly with slightly shorter legs. Even though she’s still at the very beginning of her journey, she has all the best prerequisites to become a loyal companion someday. All that’s missing now is the right home where she can grow up safely and learn everything a young dog needs for a happy life. Like every puppy, Liv naturally still has to learn the basics of dog behavior. Life inside the house, everyday noises, potty training, walking on a leash, and new situations will initially be unfamiliar to her. That’s why we’re looking for people who can show Liv the world with patience, understanding, love, and clear, gentle guidance. Attending a positively oriented dog school would certainly be a wonderful support. Currently, Liv is being treated for demodectic mange. This skin condition is easily treatable and won’t stand in the way of her travel. Liv longs for a home where she can feel welcome, be loved, and peacefully grow into a wonderful companion. Anyone who decides to adopt a puppy takes on responsibility for many years together—but in return, they’ll gain a friend for life. Liv travels chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, accompanied by a valid EU pet passport. She will be placed after a positive pre-check and against a protection fee. Would you like to give Liv a home and start a new life together? Then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. A foster home would also be a valuable opportunity for this little lady dog. Many thanks for the sponsorship of her name, dear Nele. Thanks to you, Liv not only has a beautiful name but also the chance to be discovered by her people. As of July 18, 2026 Further information on the topics of pre-check and protection fee

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Liv

What life with Liv looks like

Liv is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Liv, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Liv?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Liv on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Liv if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Liv already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Liv isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Liv and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
