Adopt Loara

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Loara Profile ♀️ female / neutered 🎂 04/2025 (estimated) ⚖️ ca. 48 cm, 17 kg ✔️ vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed 📖 Bosnian pet certificate 🐱 compatibility with others: Unfortunately, cat compatibility cannot be tested here at the shelter. 📍 animal shelter Neverland (Bosnia) Kuckuck, I am the unique Loara! I was still a tiny puppy when my siblings and I were found alone in the forest near the animal shelter Neverland. At that time, the shelter was unfortunately full, so we were initially cared for at an old hunting cabin – until suddenly, one by one, two of my siblings disappeared without a trace! Fortunately, the animal welfare workers did not hesitate and quickly brought the remaining puppies to safety. 💛 In the shelter, we grew up carefree and enjoyed every single day! As befits puppies our age, we are very playful and full of energy. We keep everyone and even the dogs on their toes and run around as if there were no tomorrow! 🥳 Pssst, I'm not supposed to say this out loud, but I'm one of the favorites at the shelter. Because I'm so alert and cheerful, I love to play pranks, and I'm always sweet and lovable. I'm also very smart and curious and prefer to be right in the middle of the action rather than just watching. Additionally, I have the softest ears in all of Neverland – that's what they say here. 😇🤭 Even though I'm loved here, it's time for me to spread my wings and see more of the world. For that, I'm looking for my very perfect people who will love me with all their heart and teach me everything. Besides making a lot of silly fun, I can't do much yet, but hey, that's already a lot! 🤗 Are you ready for a little star in your life? Then please get in touch and ask about Loara!

About Loara

What life with Loara looks like

Loara is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. in Schwabach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Loara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Loara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Loara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Loara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Loara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Loara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Loara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
