Adopt Lobita

Husky · Female · Young · 2 years

Eisprinzessin seeks patient heart-owners. Sometimes a dog in the kennel looks like it stepped straight out of a winter landscape... Snow-white fur, light blue eyes like frozen lakes. Stunningly beautiful and yet so cautious in her gaze. This wonderful Husky-female is a quiet soul. Husky Lobita is friendly, gentle, and observant—but still very shy. Proximity doesn't come easily to her. She wants to understand, to feel, to assess first. And exactly for this, she needs people who are willing to give her time. A shelter dog always brings his or her small—or sometimes larger—backpack. We don't know her past, but we know: trust doesn't grow overnight. It grows through patience. Through calmness. Through reliable structures. Through loving consistency. She will need time to settle in. Perhaps more than others. But whoever gives her this time will experience how cautious distance transforms into gentle trust—and from trust, a very special bond. As a Husky, of course, she also carries the typical traits of her breed: joy in movement, independence, sensitivity, and a sharp mind. Therefore, Husky experience or at least the willingness to immerse oneself deeply with this special breed would be very desirable. We seek for this Ice Princess people with hearts, patience, and a secure framework. People who know that trust is not a gift—rather, it is a shared journey. Who gives this snow-white beauty the time she needs to arrive? Who shows her that her new life can begin in safety? Then please contact Lobita's responsible matchmaker. She would also be very happy to have a foster home.

About Lobita

What life with Lobita looks like

Lobita is a young adult husky dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lobita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lobita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lobita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lobita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lobita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lobita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lobita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
