Lobo

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 11 years

🐾 LOBO is looking for a new home to spend his remaining years surrounded by love 🐾 At 11 years old, LOBO’s world turned upside down after the passing of his owner. Overnight, this loyal old companion found himself at a shelter, utterly confused as to why he’d lost the person who had shared his life. Despite this difficult experience, LOBO still possesses many wonderful qualities. He’s a food-loving dog, highly attentive to people and delightful to walk. He enjoys even the shortest walks, which he still tackles with energy and enthusiasm. Always observant and responsive, he loves sharing moments of closeness and companionship with those who take the time to give him their attention. Like many senior dogs, LOBO experiences some age-related aches and pains. As such, he needs to be handled gently and allowed to set his own pace. Yet this doesn’t stop him from fully enjoying life and savoring every outing. LOBO isn’t particularly demonstrative when it comes to cuddles, but his calm presence and unwavering loyalty speak volumes on their own. Whether he gets along well with other dogs and cats will need to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Right now, what LOBO needs most is a warm, loving home where he can rediscover familiar routines, comfort, and the affection he truly deserves after all these years of loyalty. ❤️ Give LOBO the chance to enjoy a peaceful retirement.

About Lobo

What life with Lobo looks like

Lobo is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at S.P.A Vauclusienne in Piégon.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lobo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lobo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. S.P.A Vauclusienne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lobo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lobo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — S.P.A Vauclusienne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lobo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lobo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with S.P.A Vauclusienne early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lobo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
