Adopt Lola

Female · Young · 3 years

The beautiful cat lady Lola is still waiting for her perfect HappyHome. Actually, she's not complicated at all. She just wants love, security, and safety. A home without other cats or dogs, as she doesn't particularly like them, but with lots of human interaction and free roaming. Lola feels very comfortable in her foster home, but unfortunately, she can't stay there forever. Since she is a very dominant cat and doesn't want to share her things, the lovely lady is looking for a home as an only cat with outdoor access. She has trouble with children, especially younger ones, and can't handle unwanted touching well, and might even snap. By appointment, she can be visited at her foster home in 60433 Frankfurt. Lola was born around March 2023 and originally comes from Spain. There, the then young mother cat was found on the street with her 3 kittens and was brought to safety by our local partners. Before entering Germany, she was vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Her tests for FIV and FeLV were negative. Who would like to give this beautiful long-haired lady a loving home?

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a young adult cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
