Lola

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

♀, born approx. 12/2025—social, lovable, and active—in Spain. Lola is a female Podenco Andaluz (mixed breed?), born around December 2025, standing approximately 40 cm tall at the shoulder. Lola and her sister were unwanted. The local animal shelter was asked to take in the two puppies and care for them. Since then, Lola has been eagerly waiting for a loving, suitable home and a cozy, warm dog bed where she can grow up and live happily in safety and comfort. This sweet and lovable dog is now searching—finally—for dedicated people who have plenty of time for her, challenge and encourage her, patiently and calmly teach her the basics of dog behavior, ideally combined with regular visits to dog training school, and actively integrate her into their daily life. Only then will Lola finally experience the affection, love, and care she has lacked until now. Lola gets along wonderfully with dogs of both sexes. She would happily and well-behavedly be placed with other socially compatible, confident dogs—preferably of similar age and size. At her age, she is very agile. We are looking for a loving home for Lola with active people who have plenty of time for her, as well as the enthusiasm and joy to engage in activities together and explore the world alongside her, because she probably hasn't experienced much so far and is definitely not a couch potato. A quiet, rural home and environment would be ideal and highly desirable for her. Cats and/or small pets should not be present in her future home. Lola will be given up spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for Mediterranean diseases. She is currently staying at an animal shelter in Andalusia, Spain. The adoption fee for Lola is 580 euros. Would you like to give Lola a loving home? Then please contact us via our contact form below. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V.. Created with Wix.com

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
