Adopt Lola

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 6 years

In 2020, two suns arrived at our shelter as grown puppies from a garbage dump. Due to lack of socialization with humans, they were very withdrawn and distrustful. Volunteers and staff started working with them. They taught them to walk on a leash and to interact with people. Lola and Lala made great progress. They walk nicely on a leash during walks. Although they avoid cuddles, they allow themselves to be touched and petted. However, they are still distrustful and afraid of sudden movements. In the animal shelter, they have no chance to open up completely. Lola is more cautious than her sister. She prefers to observe. She is a calm female dog with a gentle temperament. Since she has been with us, she has made progress, but she needs a lot of time to trust. Lola needs a lot of love and understanding. Only proper work with the sun under the supervision of a behaviorist will give her a chance to trust, open up, and love. We are looking for a family that is ready to work with the sun. I beg you for a home for her! Born in 2020. Vaccinated, microchipped, spayed. Reaches for the knee.

W 2020 roku trafiły do nas jako podrośnięte szczeniaki, dwie sunie z wysypiska śmieci. Przez brak socjalizacji z człowiekiem były bardzo wycofane i nieufne. Wolontariusze i Pracownicy podjęli z nimi pracę. Nauczyli chodzić na smyczy i kontaktu z człowiekiem. Lola i Lala zrobiły duże postępy. Lola potrzebuje dużo miłości i zrozumienia. Tylko odpowiednia praca z sunią pod okiem behawiorysty da szansę aby zaufała, otworzyła się i pokochała. Szukamy Rodziny, która będzie gotowa na pracę z sunią. Błagam o Dom dla niej! Urodzona w 2020 roku. Zaszczepiona, zaczipowana, wysterylizowana. Sięga za kolano. Kasia 507 237 447 Ola 533 564 074

About Lola

What life with Lola looks like

Lola is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
