Lolli & Bolle

Male · Kitten · 2 months

Bolle and Lolli had no easy start in life. At just one day old, they were found alone on a playground, still attached to their umbilical cords. Without their mother, they would not have had a chance. Fortunately, they were discovered in time and brought to the animal shelter. From there, they were able to move to a loving foster home where they were bottle-fed around the clock. With a lot of patience, care and love, two tiny foundlings could develop into two happy, healthy and lively kittens. Bolle is a little explorer. He is curious, playful and brave, loves to climb and try new things. After extensive play sessions, he also enjoys intimate cuddling moments and seeks the closeness of his people. Lolli is the gentle soul of the duo. She observes new situations calmly before going on a curious tour of discovery. She is affectionate, clingy and loves to snuggle up close to her brother or her people. Together they play, wrestle, sleep and discover the world. They are inseparable and will therefore only be placed together. Both have grown up with people, know everyday life in an apartment and are well socialized. They look forward to joint play hours just as much as extended cuddling sessions. For Bolle and Lolli, we wish a loving home with later outdoor access in a traffic-calmed environment. Alternatively, they can also move to a spacious apartment with a permanently secured balcony or a secured terrace, so that they can safely enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Whoever gives the two a home is not only giving them two beautiful cat children, but two small fighters with a big heart, who, despite their difficult start, look at the world full of trust, joie de vivre and curiosity. Bolle and Lolli are looking forward to finding their people for life together. Would you like to give the furry ones a caring home? Then please send your completed self-disclosure (for the address, JavaScript must be enabled).

About Lolli & Bolle

What life with Lolli & Bolle looks like

Lolli & Bolle is a large puppy/kitten cat waiting at Hamburger Tierschutzverein in Hamburg.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lolli & Bolle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lolli & Bolle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hamburger Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lolli & Bolle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lolli & Bolle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hamburger Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lolli & Bolle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lolli & Bolle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hamburger Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lolli & Bolle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
