Lollipop and Rascal

Guinea Pig · Female · Baby · 8 months

Lollipop and Rascal are a sweet pair of long haired guinea pigs who came into our care through no fault of their own, they are only 8 months old and as you can see from their photos they are adorable! Rascal is the black and white guinea pig and Lollipop is the chocolate guinea pig. They are very close and they are looking for a calm home where they can continue to gain confidence. Rascal is a little more confident and more interested in human interactionthan Lollipop currently is. They love their Spinach and cake and chasing each other through their hay. They are still getting used to being handled and will need to continue their training to get used to being brushed. They love their enrichment and treat balls .Both can be started by loud or unexpected noises so are looking for a relaxed calm home with space to play but also somewhere they can feel safe. They have previously only been inside so would suit an indoor home. "*" indicates required fields Here’s where we ask more questions about you, your lifestyle and what you’re looking for in a pet. About Lollipop and Rascal

What life with Lollipop and Rascal looks like

Lollipop and Rascal is a puppy/kitten guinea pig animal waiting at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre in Bristol.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Lollipop and Rascal far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lollipop and Rascal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lollipop and Rascal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Bristol Animal Rescue Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lollipop and Rascal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lollipop and Rascal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Bristol Animal Rescue Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lollipop and Rascal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lollipop and Rascal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Bristol Animal Rescue Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lollipop and Rascal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
