Lost Cat Please Help

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Sadly we lost our cat after he escaped from our house on the 2nd of December, he was last seen in our garden on the 4th by a wildlife camera, but hasn’t been seen since. On Southampton Mews Ashley Down. We’re besides ourselves with worry about him. Coco is a large male, short-haired, black and white cat; he’s around 4 years old, neutered and chipped, and usually a house cat. He was adopted in September and hasn’t been outside our house before, although we think he was previously an outdoor cat with his previous owner so is fairly street-wise. Please check your gardens under bushes and hedges, sheds, garages and greenhouses and let us know if you have any information contact The Moggery on and email on Thanks.

About Lost Cat Please Help

What life with Lost Cat Please Help looks like

Lost Cat Please Help is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at The Moggery in Bristol.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lost Cat Please Help, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lost Cat Please Help?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Moggery handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lost Cat Please Help on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lost Cat Please Help if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Moggery will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lost Cat Please Help already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lost Cat Please Help isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Moggery early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lost Cat Please Help and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
