Lotta

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Lotta is a lively little female dog, and when she taps her short legs toward you, your heart melts. Like many before her, the approximately 8-year-old female dog arrives with us without a history. Did she ever have a home? Maybe. But whether she ever experienced what it means to be an accepted family member is doubtful. Lotta is about 35 cm tall and weighs 17 kg. She has a crooked and a standing ear – cutesy and unmistakable. With her rosy fur and light accents, she is not only sweet but also incredibly beautiful. And it seems as if she is always smiling. Lotta is friendly and open with people and loves to get cuddles. She also gets along well with other dogs. Whether that also applies to cats has not yet been tested. Although Lotta already has a few years under her belt, the little mouse is far from being put on the back burner. We wish for Lotta people who will show her once again what it means to have a place in a loving home and be part of a family. It is possible that Lotta has never experienced life in a home. Therefore, she should be shown everything with patience and empathy. If things don't work out from the start, that's not so bad either. Lotta simply wishes to be accepted and not to waste any valuable time in the shelter. After a positive assessment, do you have a warm dog bed for Lotta? Even if you can offer her a temporary home as a foster, we would also be very grateful. Many thanks, Edith and Kerstin! You gave Lotta her pretty name. Status: 19.04. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 19.04.2026

About Lotta

What life with Lotta looks like

Lotta is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lotta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lotta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lotta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lotta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lotta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lotta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lotta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
