Lotti F

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

ProfileAge: born in 2020. Gender: female. neutered: yesCharacter: shySize: approx. 43 cmSince in shelter: November 2024This is our Lotti. She is one of our new residents in the shelter and still needs to get used to her new environment.Originally, she knows that she doesn't need to be afraid here and that she is safe, but she still isn't quite ready to approach the caretakers when they enter the kennel. Life on the streets has made her cautious.New Lotti still can't step out of her shell and keeps her distance. But if you take the time to spend with her, this wonderful, delicate female dog will leave her snail's shell and integrate into her new home, because ultimately, she also wishes for a loving place full of warmth and care. Security and love is all she wishes for and what she has never known before.Lotti just wants to discover the world and find her people who will help her find her way in her new life and give her the necessary security she so desperately needs.Who whispers courage and confidence into her ears? Interested? If you are interested in Lotti, please fill out our application form ()or send us an email or a message on Facebook. Lotti is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Borreliosis, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariosis, and leishmaniasis. The sponsorship for Lotti has been taken over by Anja F., and thus ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

SteckbriefAlter: 2020 geboren. Geschlecht: weiblich.

About Lotti F

What life with Lotti F looks like

Lotti F is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lotti F, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lotti F?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lotti F on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lotti F if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lotti F already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lotti F isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lotti F and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
