Lottie (& Pippa)

Female Β· Adult Β· 5 years

Lottie and Pippa are a bonded pair of Jack Russell Terriers looking for a loving new home together. Lottie is 5 years old and is black and white and Pippa is 2 years old and is brown and white. They are based at Battersea Old Windsor. They can be a little nervous and sensitive, particularly when faced with new places and unfamiliar situations. Because of this they are searching for a calm and quiet home where they can settle in at their own pace and build their confidence. They will need a private and secure garden, giving them a safe space to relax, explore and enjoy spending time outdoors. Lottie and Pippa have been friendly with new people but if they are a little nervous, one thing that helps make friends is food as both girls love their treats and enjoy mealtimes. As they can be worried by other dogs, Lottie and Pippa are looking to be the only dogs in the home. They take comfort in each other's company but they are happy to walk past dogs out and about. Lottie & Pippa will make rewarding companions for their new home. About Lottie (& Pippa)

What life with Lottie (& Pippa) looks like

Lottie (& Pippa) is a small adult dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lottie (& Pippa), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lottie (& Pippa)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lottie (& Pippa) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lottie (& Pippa) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lottie (& Pippa) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lottie (& Pippa) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lottie (& Pippa) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
