Lotto

"Hey! My name is Lotto... and yes, I'm named that because I actually won in Lotto. Life's Lotto, you know. I'm about 4 years old and a shy, black guy with lots of personality and charm. I started life a bit rough and was found on a trash pile on a cold New Year's Day. When I came in, I was terrified, and honestly quite skeptical of people. Ears back, growling, and "keep your distance" energy was my thing. But here's the thing: I've come a long way since then. I now live in foster care, and there I've really shown who I am. I'm mainly a calm guy, but I also like to play a bit - alone, with people, and with my cat friend Timian. If I get bored, I always find something to do. I follow my foster person around everywhere (like a little shadow), I like to lie at the end of the sofa or on a mat on the floor, and I talk a lot. Yes, I have opinions 😍 Hands can still be a bit scary, especially if they come from above - then I rather run away. If they come in front of me, I stand ready and lift my paw in case I need to swat a bit. But! I let myself be patted on the back when I feel safe, especially when I'm in the cat tree. And the best part of all: I can be lifted and cuddled, cheek to cheek 🤩 Yeah, they say I'm a bit shy, simply put! I now live with two dogs, two other cats and a teenager, and it's going just fine. I also get along with dogs as long as they are cat-friendly. In addition to the cats I live with now, I have lived with many different cats at the cat shelter, and I really like cat friends! It's important for me to have cat friends. I use the cat door as a gentleman 👍 At night I can get a bit playful, but mostly I'm a harmonious type. And just so you know: I love watching TV, as long as there are animals on the screen. Nature programs are top entertainment, ask me 🤣 My dream? A safe forever home, preferably with the possibility to go out or a nice cat garden. One or more cat friends. And yes... wet food with sauce or jelly is important. Candy too. Very important. I don't promise to be a perfect angel from day one, but I promise to do my best. I'm on my way, I just need a little time, understanding and love. In return, you'll get a loyal, fun, chatty and incredibly beautiful black treasure who will definitely be in the eighth grade around your legs - when I'm ready."

«Hei! Men!

About Lotto

What life with Lotto looks like

Lotto is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter in Trollåsen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lotto, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lotto?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lotto on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lotto if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lotto already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lotto isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lotto and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
