adoption requirements adoption process Request this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Request this dog now! Mamas are simply the best. They take care of their children selflessly and often forget about themselves in the process. Lovis is such a mom. With lots of love, she cares for her five puppies Mailo, Tasha, Rico, Suomi, and Pumukel, putting her own needs last. At just under two and a half years old, she is still a young female dog with her whole life ahead of her. Unfortunately, it's often the moms who get overlooked when people inquire about adoptions. But Lovis is such a beautiful female dog, with friendly light brown eyes and a shiny black-and-white coat—more than that, it's her gentle nature that stands out. Currently, she appears a bit shy and overwhelmed by the situation in the shelter. However, she really enjoys human affection and loves being petted. Lovis is about 47 cm tall. She is compatible with other animals. She hasn't met cats yet. Lovis once lived on a farm with several other dogs until the owner unfortunately passed away. Thankfully, Lovis was able to move into the shelter with her puppies and has been able to rest and regain strength here. Life in a house, everyday noises, house training, or walking on a leash—these are things that Lovis probably doesn't know yet. She is a blank slate, ready to be guided into a new life with patience, understanding, and loving leadership. People who give her time to build trust will find in her a gentle, loyal companion. For Lovis, we wish for a home that provides her with security and doesn't expect a "perfect" dog. She needs people with heart who are willing to let her settle in step by step and show her that she will never be abandoned again. Lovis will travel neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home and will bring her EU pet passport with her. A loving foster home would also be an important first step—so that Lovis can finally experience what a real home feels like. Thank you, Bianca! You gave Lovis her name! Status: 08.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Bianca! Du hast Lovis ihren Namen geschenkt! About Lovis

What life with Lovis looks like

Lovis is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lovis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lovis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lovis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lovis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lovis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lovis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lovis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
