Needs daily inhaler intake. - Special needs: None We received the case of LUA and initially advertised it as an external case because we did not have foster care homes available to take care of her. She came with a huge hernia that needed urgent surgery, making it impossible to bring her to the shelter. Thanks to some wonderful people who helped in her rescue and, of course, her foster care home, LUA is now part of the family. She has already been operated on and is recovering well from the intervention. LUA is a 12-year-old medium-sized Podenco hound female. She has lived her entire life working for and with humans. Now, with a hernia the size of her head and 12 years old, she was no longer suitable for "work" and was going to be given to a dog pound with a euthanasia list. LUA had days numbered due to her condition even before entering this shelter. Life has treated her very poorly, but she is an angel. Goodness understates her qualities. At first, she is a bit suspicious but soon shows those desires to trust humans again. She is compatible with dogs even in cohabitation. She is very respectful, calm, and well-behaved. She wins hearts quickly.

Gracias a unas maravillosas personas que ayudaron en su rescate y, por supuesto, a su casa de acogida, Lua ya forma parte de la familia. Ya ha sido operada y está recuperándose favorablemente de la intervención. Lua es una hembra de Podenco de 12 años de edad y tamaño - mediano. Ha vivido toda su vida por y para el hombre. Ahora con una hernia del tamaño de su cabeza y 12 años, ya no valía para "trabajar" e iba a ser entregada a una perrera con lista de sacrificio. Lua tenía los días contados por su condición incluso antes de entrar en ésta. La vida la ha tratado muy mal pero ella es un ángel. Buena se nos queda corto. En un primer momento se muestra algo desconfiada pero enseguida muestra esas ganas que tiene de volver a confiar en el humano. Es compatible con perros incluso en la convivencia. Es muy respetuosa, tranquila y educada. Se hace querer enseguida.
