Luana was surrendered to the shelter for reasons known only to her former owners. The change was extremely stressful for her. For several weeks she remained hidden in a carrier and growled whenever someone approached. Over time, she began to calm down. She no longer growls but still allows only one or two people to touch her. From others, she moves away. We always respect her space and never force her to interact because we believe she still feels very insecure and if we insisted, she could react. We hope that in a calm and stable environment, Luana will be able to relax and gain confidence, although this may be a lengthy process. She gets along well with other dogs and walks on a leash. She will be surrendered vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

A Luana foi entregue no abrigo por motivos que apenas os seus antigos tutores conhecem. A mudança foi extremamente stressante para ela. Durante várias semanas permaneceu escondida numa transportadora e, sempre que alguém se aproximava, rosnava. Com o passar do tempo, começou a acalmar. Já não rosna, mas continua a permitir que apenas uma ou duas pessoas lhe toquem. Das restantes, afasta-se. Respeitamos sempre o seu espaço e nunca a forçamos a interagir, pois acreditamos que ainda se sente muito insegura e, se insistíssemos, poderia reagir. Esperamos que, num ambiente calmo e estável, a Luana consiga relaxar e ganhar confiança, embora esse possa ser um processo demorado. Dá-se bem com outros cães e passeia à trela. Será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
