Luci

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 4 years

Description Luci seeks a permanent home: Luci is 4 years old and has spent almost her entire life on the streets, part of a feral cat colony that we care for with much love. She was always a very shy kitty; in fact, capturing her for sterilization was quite a challenge. Nevertheless, she managed to produce two litters of kittens that turned out to be very sociable and have already found wonderful families. Recently, Luci appeared in the area of the feral cat colony, very dirty and drooling. We managed to catch her and take her to the vet, where she was treated for a wound on her tongue. And since that visit, something changed in her. Luci has become an unexpectedly affectionate cat. Now she enjoys being petted, allows herself to be picked up, accepts kisses, and purrs non-stop. After three years of surviving on the streets, she has discovered how much she enjoys human company. Now all she needs is the most important thing: a home where she can live peacefully and loved for the rest of her life. Would you like to be the one to give her that opportunity?

¿Te animas a conocerla?

About Luci

What life with Luci looks like

Luci is an adult european shorthair cat waiting at Sálvanos Protectora in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luci, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luci?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Sálvanos Protectora handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luci on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luci if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Sálvanos Protectora will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Luci already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luci isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Sálvanos Protectora early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luci and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
