Lucky

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Lucky is one of those cats who proves that the will to live can overcome almost anything. His story began in the worst possible way. He was hit by a car, leaving his hind legs permanently paralyzed. Just when he seemed to be recovering, he faced another devastating setback and contracted parvovirus while staying in our cattery. Many would have given up, but Lucky chose to keep fighting. In time, both of his hind legs had to be amputated to give him the best possible quality of life. Today, Lucky is a happy cat who has learned to adapt and enjoys life with us. Lucky is incontinent and cannot control his bladder, so he urinates wherever he happens to be. This means he needs a very special person—someone who can look beyond his limitations and understand that none of this is his fault. Despite everything he has been through, Lucky is a happy, affectionate, and incredibly grateful cat. He loves being around people and, as you can see in the video, he enjoys every cuddle and every moment of attention he receives. He has never allowed everything he has endured to take away his ability to love or his desire to be loved. He also gets along wonderfully with other cats. Not all heroes walk on four legs. Some, like Lucky, teach us every single day the true meaning of resilience. 💛 Lucky doesn't need pity—he needs a chance. A loving family, a foster home, or a sponsor willing to become part of his journey and help him continue writing his story. ✨ Adopt, foster, or sponsor Lucky. He needs you, and we're certain that once you meet him, he will leave a lasting mark on your heart. 📩 Adoption enquiries: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Lucky

What life with Lucky looks like

Lucky is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lucky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lucky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lucky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lucky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lucky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lucky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lucky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
